Next week will be my fifth month with BOA which means I'm left with a month till my last day being a contract staff. Wow! How fast time flies. I'm scared and nervous at the same time. O&G and offshore industry not doing very well lei- what are the odds.
I'm the first person they hired on a contract basis together with Xing Yun who had left a month into the job. Accounts, hello- what do you expect? A lot of work, need to bring work home. As compared to the other contract staffs who joined a week after me, they have been practicing accounts whereas I was from banking to HSE and that was based solely on my CoC.
The most recent accounts girl was asked to leave as her boss felt that she was underperforming. Like hello, she just joined. I'm five months old and I'm still adjusting with the workflow. I learnt and need to do new things from time to time. Sometimes I even forget or don't even know where to find the file that I used before. Cool story bro!
In case where things doesn't work out, I will look for job again- it's going to be okay. I too might consider revalidate my CoC. For now, nothing is confirmed. I'm just going to work as per normal. I will leave the employment status at the back of my head. Why should I worry about things that is beyond my control.
I love the job because it's a five day work week, office hours. Like seriously, I don't mind working with BOA even if I'm married with kids. That was exactly what I said during the interview. I don't need pay increment but if I were to be offered, why not. All I want is the leave entitlement and 13th month but if there's no change, I'm good with it.
